I have always found the Internet and computers a fascinating tool for learning and gathering information on a multitude of subject matter. Having been invited in the early eighties to participate in setting up the Internet on our Library systems I find that the Internet has grown at an incredible pace and with it it’s complexity. Back then most of the information shared was with just plain text and only a very few people could do any sort of web page design. Today with Mobile phones being on line to Blog’s, Flicker, Wikipedia, Youtube, Mashups and all other sort communicating programs it can be very daunting to some of us oldies still game enough to have a go. Having built many of the mechanical monsters that we call PC’s, Laptop’s or other electronic equipment I’m now ready to participate in seeing what they can do.
